Born of a very poor family with eight brothers and sisters.

Studied at Far Eastern University while working to feed her three children; Maurese, Julian and Omar.
Fullbright scholar
Worked at Philprom and eventually at US AID which enabled her to migrate to the US
Worked at the World Bank which enabled her to bring her whole family over.
Worked very hard to send all her children and grand children through college and bought them homes.
